About Samira
I'm a hardworking trumpet player who is dedicated to working with other students to become great musicians. I also teach percussion students.
I enjoy seeing students improve on their instruments and helping them is fun for me.
Currently, I'm a trumpet player at Vista Murrieta High School which has a world-class music program. I have worked under the direction of a world-renowned tuba player, Pat Sheridan, and Barry Perkins, the principal trumpet player of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. In the fall of 2019, our school marching band traveled to San Antonio, Texas where we placed 20th out of 86 bands at the most competitive marching band competition in the nation. I am currently in the school's top wind ensemble which has been widely considered one of the top high school ensembles in the nation. I am also a trumpet player in the programs' top jazz ensemble which has been regionally renowned and awarded. On top of my trumpet experience, I also have 2 seasons of drumline under my belt, I have worked with world-famous percussion instructor, Mike Jackson, who is sponsored by Vic firth and has been inducted into the WGI hall of fame. He is also one of the founders and currently sits on the board of directors for SCPA.

Samira takes things step by step and doesn't rush to get things done. She knows when taking technique first and mastering it, there will be better outcomes than just the comprehension of learning a piece. Of course, she will help and guide you through a piece, but she knows how to make your tone sound that much better. No regrets, since I have improved dramatically taking lessons with her.
I enjoy the feedback I get from my performance.
Best teacher ever!
Knowledgeable, talented, patient.
Samira is really thourogh and gave me clear instructions rather than literally any other teacher
