About Donna

I tailor yoga practices: postures, breathing, meditation, relaxation, to the needs of the individual. My intake includes questions regarding your goals, your current abilities, your history including and physical, physiological challenges you may have. My students range in age from age 27 to 93. I teach a chair yoga class to seniors and others with mobility issues along with more traditional yoga postures.

I take a holistic approach and am also an Ayurvedic Practitioner. I do private sessions in my home studio as well as public classes in Folsom and El Dorado Hills.

I have over 3000 hours of training and am registered with the Yoga Alliance at their highest level. I am also a yoga therapist in the Viniyoga tradition having completed a certificate with the American Viniyoga Institute with Gary Kraftsow. I have completed Judith Lasater's Restorative Yoga Teacher Training. I graduated from Mount Madonna Institute as an Ayurvedic Practioner. I have also been voted one of the favorite yoga instructors in Folsom by Style Magazine for several years. More information on my web-site at: (concealed information)

I enjoy making a positive difference in the lives of others and continue to take classes and workshops that increase my universe of knowledge. When I end a class and everyone is moving slowly, feeling relaxed and happy, it encourages me to continue learning. When a student approaches me after class or private session and shares how the practices of yoga have changed things for the better (physically, physiologically, psycho-emotionally), I know that this was what I was born to do.

I love what I do and do it full-time.

About the lesson

50+ Clients/students with arthritis, fibromyalgia, digestive issues, mobility limitations due to surgery, MS, Parkinson's Disease, stress, depression, head trauma...

I just met with a private student I have worked with for 3 years. He said that he was considering surgery on both shoulders but after working together, his shoulders are pain-free.
