About Sharon
I teach one-on-one and small group private yoga, chair yoga, and/or meditation primarily, but not exclusively, to individuals who cannot or would not otherwise do group classes due to limited mobility as a result of age, weight, sedentary lifestyle, chronic illness or injury, or in recovery from illness or injury or as a result of anxiety or body image issues. I also teach public group classes. My style is traditional Hatha in the Kripalu lineage with a somewhat slower, inward-focused, meditative approach that emphasizes self compassion and making the yoga fit you rather than forcing you into the yoga. In short, I call it stretchy & Zenny!
I firmly believe yoga and meditation, which is a part of yoga, are for everybody and every body! I LOVE helping people who thought they could not move or have had in the past bad experiences with physical activity discover ways they can move that help them feel great physically, and I LOVE helping people who may physically move fine but struggle with stress and anxiety discover ways that the breathwork in yoga and meditation can also bring calm and comfort to their mind!
