About Jessica
I combine my experience as Dance Captain in a Broadway National Tour, my BFA in dance and BA in psychology, my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification, and my ABT (American Ballet Theater) Certification [Primary-Level 3] to create a perfect lesson for YOU!
I look at all of the factors of who you are, what your strengths are, and what your dreams are, and together we create a perfect curriculum and atmosphere to learn and grow.
I am completely dedicated to supporting dancers and non-dancers alike through their journeys with movement. Whether you want to learn more about being in your own body, learn a new genre of dance, or pursue dance professionally, I believe that dance is for EVERYONE and we will work together to make sure you are getting the training, information, and experience you desire.
I started teaching as a high school student and my love for it has continued to evolve throughout the years. I am passionate about figuring out the best movement practice for each individual and work hard to learn as much as I can about my students and their needs.
I was the Dance Captain on the Fiddler on the Roof 1st National Tour and I have my BFA in Dance/ BA in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College. I am a 200-hr Certified Yoga Teacher and an ABT (American Ballet Theater) certified teacher in Primary-Level 3. I am also a trained Body Project facilitator through the National Eating Disorder Association.

We start with a discussion where I can learn exactly where the student is, what they want to work on, and how we can best move forward together!
I have taught MANY different types of people! In a dance context, I have taught everyone from the young age of 2 to professional dancers and performers. With yoga and movement in general, I have taught law students, agents, businesspeople, actors, singers, teachers, and more!
Not every teacher is for every student. Listen to your heart when you meet your teachers. Always remember that the best teachers are only pulling out the answers and potential you already have within you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You may want to consider:
1. What do I want?
2. Why am I being drawn to a movement practice?
*Still, there may be some information and processing that comes as you progress through lessons. So don't worry if you don't know how to ask/answer all of the right questions for yourself yet, that's part of training and practice!

I cannot recommend Jess enough! She is incredibly kind and compassionate, while also being extremely detail oriented. I really enjoy the way Jess focuses on the small details that are furthering my technique and abilities and a dancer. Her method of incorporating yoga with ballet makes me feel more comfortable in my own body, which is improving my confidence and skills as a dancer and overall performer.
I love getting to work on technique in a fun and energetic way. I can definitely see improvement in myself from week to week which is all thanks to the attention to detail and encouragement from this amazing teacher!
Jess is wonderful! She does a great job of explaining the WHY in everything we do. In ballet, we break down HOW we are engaging the body to help explain WHY each exercise is important. She is also a gifted yogi and has taught me to fully incorporate yoga into my ballet practice. Not to mention, she brings so much joy and positive energy to every lesson. Consider yourself lucky if you have opportunity to work with Jess.
There is something so ‘feel-good’ when coming out of a class with Jess. You may go into class feeling really stressed but you will always come out of it feeling okay with your mind and yourself. Not only are you moving your body but you’re getting your mind in tune with your body and soul. It is really a time to reflect and take a minute to breathe. I always love taking class with Jess and take every opportunity that I can to take class with her! 10/10 teacher, artist, and most of all human! :)
