About Annie

I have training in a unique blend of therapuetic and athletic styles of yoga, and I help you design a practice to support your your unique body and needs. My goal - and the goal of yoga overall - is to help you feel better on all layers of your being. I meet each student where they're at to create a practice that feels accessible and resonant.

I love helping others to feel good. Yoga is such a powerful practice, and it is a joy to share it :).

I took my first yoga class over 10 years ago, and had this strange intuitive feeling that I wanted to become a yoga teacher. The desire stayed with me throughout my years in college and graduate school, and finally when I finished my degrees I treated myself to my certification. It was then that I truly fell in love with yoga, and I haven't stopped studying ever since. Learning about yoga fills me up, as does sharing the practice with others. :)

I have over 700-hours of certified yoga teacher training. I completed my 200-hour teaching certification in an alignment based vinyasa flow style in Koh Pagnan, Thailand. I went on to complete a 100-hour advanced Bhakti Flow teacher training with Rusty Wells, and a 200-hour training with Lakshmi Rising School for Yoga and Wellness. I also completed 200 hours of study in Foundations of Yoga Therapy with Joseph Le Page at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and am working towards my professional yoga therapy certification.

I draw upon my expansive training to create a safe and nourishing mind body and soul practice tailored to each student's needs. For some this is an athletic practice, for others it is a therapuetic practice, and often it is a blend of both.

I always begin with a consultation to understand the student's goals, and to design a program that best serves them.
