About George
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching across Key Stage 2, specialising in maths and English. I currently teach Year 5 and have supported pupils of varying abilities, including SATs preparation and confidence-building intervention work.
My tutoring approach is structured, supportive and personalised. Each lesson is carefully planned to meet the individual needs of the pupil, focusing on clear explanations, guided practice and independent application. I prioritise building confidence alongside academic progress, helping children develop strong foundations and a positive mindset towards learning.

As a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, I deliver structured, engaging and confidence-building lessons tailored to each child’s needs. My approach combines clear modelling, guided practice and independent application to ensure pupils fully understand concepts rather than simply memorising answers.
I focus heavily on building confidence, particularly in maths and English, as this is often the key barrier to progress. Lessons are interactive and supportive, using questioning techniques, worked examples and targeted feedback to stretch and challenge pupils appropriately.
