About Cleo
I am a Chemistry tutor with 8 years of experience and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry. I have taught over 280 students from GCSE through to advanced undergraduate level. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, and physical Chemistry including stoichiometry, thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy, and electrochemistry. My Chemistry lessons are structured to build genuine conceptual understanding and problem-solving confidence simultaneously in every session. I begin with a targeted review of previous content before introducing new material at the appropriate level of challenge. Organic chemistry is taught through systematic mechanism walkthroughs covering all major reaction types with full arrow-pushing diagrams and clear explanation of electronic movement at every step. Physical chemistry is developed with strong mathematical rigour covering thermodynamic cycles, rate equations, equilibrium constants, and electrochemical calculations with worked examples throughout. Inorganic chemistry covers periodicity, bonding theories, transition metal chemistry, and acid-base behaviour with connections to real industrial and biological applications. I use past paper questions consistently throughout every lesson so students build examination technique naturally alongside subject knowledge. All lesson content is carefully adapted to each student's specific examination board requirements. Structured notes and a targeted problem set are provided after every session. My goal is for every student to approach every Chemistry question with genuine confidence and reliable method.
