• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  Probably not my first experience using a computer but I remember my first experience having a computer at home. I was overwhelmed and I could not sleep that night trying to figure it out and understand how to use it. It turns out that my curiosity was a major contribution to my success and achievement so far in the IT field.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  The internet of all things is one of the technical evolution that has marked me the most. This basically is about connecting everything and making it possible for them to communicate with one another and perhaps without any human or computer interaction. As an IT professional with security in mind, the idea and implementation can be a nightmare if not handled properly. Hence, the need for continuous research and investment in security. As a matter of fact, I am fully invested in IT security as it is an interestingly evolving field. I don't see any turning point for me in this field.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  My expertise and continuous interests are Engineering, Scripting, Networking, IT Security, Regulation and Data Protection. These are various IT fields I enjoy doing and have opportunities for continuous research and evolution. These fields are important to the computer world to ensure secure access to data and information at the right time.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  I'm highly inspired by Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  I would tell the person it's actually simple and that they just need to take it one step at a time. More so, a popular Polish Proverb says "Nothing is difficult/complicated if one wants it". Time invested to learn and grow in IT is certainly worth the effort.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  My other passion that is not computer related is music. I play the saxophone, keyboard and recently started learning the bass guitar.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  I started extending my knowledge (teaching) when I completed a diploma course in Computer Engineering and Web Development in 2009 and I've since then been helping people successfully switch to IT and others become better in the field.
  
  My unique background coupled with my experience makes me a Superprof in IT.
