About Alex

I’m a second-year medical student with a Master’s in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) from Queen’s University, where I graduated with a 3.96 GPA. Over the past six years, I’ve been deeply involved in scientific research and healthcare, developing both a strong academic foundation and a passion for teaching. I’ve tutored a wide range of students—from high school science learners to upper-year undergraduates—across subjects including biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and health sciences. I also specialize in MCAT tutoring, offering both content review and strategic test-taking guidance. On my first attempt, I scored in the 90+ percentile range across all MCAT science sections: • Chem/Phys: 91st percentile • Bio/Biochem: 95th percentile • Psych/Soc: 97th percentile I bring a highly personalized and supportive approach to each lesson, ensuring students gain both confidence and clarity in their understanding of complex material. Please reach out to me for my information!

Alex tutored me in grade 11 and 12 sciences (bio, physics) last year when I was struggling and worried about getting into my competitive dream program at university! He understood what I was going through and trying to accomplish and helped me get the grades I needed to get accepted. He explained things to me in a way that made so much more sense than in class. If you’re in a similar situation with big plans for university or beyond, Alex is your guy!

As an educator (For English, I very much needed the science help), I greatly respect and appreciate Alex's knowledge in his field and his pedagogical talents. Alex is not only clear and intelligent in his teaching, but also positive and personable as a tutor. I am extremely happy with how I have improved in my physics and chemistry classes and I have Alex to thank for that.
