About Sydney
Hi there! I'm Sydney, a comedy television writer. I completed my film education at USC in the Spring of 2016. After I graduated, I was employed full-time at United Talent Agency for two years, and then I went on to work on an HBO show, a Netflix show, and, most recently, an Amazon show. In college, I interned at multiple film companies and tutored kids of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. I was also a journalist for USC's movie review website from 2013-2015. I'm responsible, organized, and know what it takes to stay focused! Since my passion is writing (I graduated Cum Laude from USC's screenwriting program), I am a great resource when it comes to reading comprehension, vocabulary help, and writing essays. I also completed a 6-week intensive English and Writing program at Stanford University a few years ago. My teaching method is making sure my students are always detail-oriented. Staying organized is the key to success. To-do lists, color-coordinated study guides, notecards, etc. are all ways to make sure you stay on track. I am patient and kind, but I also know when it's time to crack down and focus. I know how important it is to maintain a positive and uplifting environment when studying, so I'll make sure you always feel heard.
