About Ronit
Born and raised in Kolkata India, Ronit developed an interest in storytelling through editing and soon found an interest in camera.
Ronit went on to do internships in Mumbai at Electric Dreams and was cinematographers assistant to Md Rubyz and Satyajit Pandey.
Ronit has shot and edited over 10 short films and 5 music videos. "The Paperman" by Abhiroop Basu, a short, has won at 7th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival) , LaCineamore Film Festival , 6th Delhi Shorts Film Festival, Indian World Film Festival and has been an official selection at pretigious Cannes Short Film Corner, Budapest International Film Festival, Palena Internation Film Festival, Lisbon International Short Film Festival, Montreal International Short Film Festival apart from 27 more international and national selections.
Ronit has edited three full length documentaries for Kolkata Police Social Initiatives, Spread of Tai Chi in India, Accupuncture in India, Wasteland ( Documentary on East Kolkata Wetlands), Bandhan Bank yearly corporate film
Ronit has been a regular cinematographer and editor for Star Sports and Kolkata Knight Riders from 2016 till date and does mostly the internal content during the IPL season, International Test matches.
Ronit has been a chief assistant and 2nd unit camera on Goutam Ghose's film Raahgir,Masayuki Ochiai " Dhappa " , a Zee5 original "Satyamevijayate", Pankaj Tripathi starring "Laali", "Ek Jhalak" - a short film for United Nations
Ronit has shot a webseries for SonyLIV called "The Big Bong Connection", ads for Kingfisher and Kolkata International Film Festival 2019
Ronit Is currently working on his feature "Sisyphus"
