About the lesson

Passionate about the art of cinema from a young age, at age 15, Danilo Godoy received his first audiovisual award at the São Paulo Minute Festival, where he won the Popular Vote. Formed in Audiovisual directed and wrote several short films in his academic period, exhibited at festivals such as LA GRAMADO and Cinematography ABC Prize, in this way he made his way in the direction of, as well as important experiences as Assistant Director in advertising of Claudio Borrelli in KILLERS and copyrighted short films world over. Received in 2012 the Short Film Encouragement Prize from the Secretary of State of Culture of São Paulo with the film My worst memories of the end of the world are those that I did not keep for a second. This film premiered the career of the young director, who had the opportunity to make his debut in England in November 2014 at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival in the historic city of York, where he received his first international award for Best Artists' Film. The film also went to festivals in Dubai, Colombia and Mexico. In Brazil the film received the prize of Best Film in the Mostra Livre de Cinema. In 2015 he completed the documentary What Connects us in partnership with PromonLogicalis and received 1st place in the MOFILM advertising competition at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas with the Atom video for the entrepreneurial strand of the Shell Youth Initiative. He also performed for MOFILM: You're the Blood in My Veins, his first international co-production, filmed in the city of Bogotá. Colombia in documentary style with motorcyclists of the group Night Riders, in addition to the video "The Request" for Netflix. With authorial and versatile tone Danilo tried to get involved in projects that affirmed social issues, of the black and political culture. His great passion is dramatic and sensitive projects about the complexities of human relationships. It was the 2nd place in the contest of Guiones, in Lisbon - International Film Festival of Portuguese Language, with its first screenplay of the original feature film entitled Sobrevoos (not yet produced). In 2016 he participated in PLOT - Professional Touring Laboratory, also in Portugal. His most recent partnerships with MOFILM were with the video A Vision Through Sounds for Chevrolet, which entered the shortlist of the Cannes 2016 awards and one of the 5 videos produced for the campaign breaks the Routine of Pepsi Mexico. In recent years he filmed the Chevrolet BR campaign in partnership with Lollapalooza, was part of the collective direction of the video for Manchester United Rituals for Chevrolet UK and follows in the development of Drags Anonymaz series, of his authorship, regarding the universe of Drag Queens in Lisbon, partnering with producer BRO, selected for the pitching of RIO CREATIVE CONFERENCE / RIO CONTENT MARKET 2018 projects.
