About Hazel
I have always found mathematics rewarding and chose to study physics as I enjoy applying maths to solve problems about the world around us.
As well as studying I am very active; I started rowing at University and have competed in multiple national regattas.
I will be graduating this summer and have secured a job in the technology sector, where I hope to apply my physics skills to solve real life problems harnessing advanced technological solutions.
I love to teach and hope to make maths and physics more accessible and enjoyable to others!

Teaching style: Physics and maths is best learnt through solving problems first hand. I will help work through any homework problems or past exam questions, going into depth and explanations where required.
Typical length of a lesson: 30 minutes - 1 hour.
Qualifications/Experience: I achieved four A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry in my A levels in 2017 and was awarded the Ogden Trust Physicist of the year. I was a maths mentor for GCSE students whilst I was still in school, and have more practical experience volunteering as a hockey and netball coach.
I am enthusiastic, patient and keen to make learning a more relaxed, enjoyable experience. I have an interest in increasing the proportion of girls who choose to take physics at A level and beyond, and have been involved in 'Girls Into Physics Initiatives' whilst at school.
