About Heather
I am a part-time freelance writer and a student due to graduate in Spring 2021 with a BA (Hons) in English, Film and Media - currently sitting at a 1st class average. Have previously worked with high-school level students, as well as carrying out freelance proofreading and editing for university students. I am confident teaching up to final year English or Media university students and currently have offers for English Masters Degrees at Glasgow University and St. Andrews University. I am also TEFL qualified, so have experience with lesson planning!

My teaching method is fairly informal- I want all students to be comfortable to ask questions (there is no such thing as a silly one!) and I believe this is the best way to learn. I like to plan lessons based around the topics that both the student and I identify as being the primary areas of weakness or uncertainty. Most importantly, I like to make each lesson fun as well as challenging - the best results come out of a subject you love!
