About Sieve
I am half Italian and half German, I came to the UK 5 years ago to study at the University of Cambridge, I now hold a BA in Classics and a Master's in English Studies, with a Medieval Specialisation. I have a passion for stories, both modern and ancient, and I hope to share this love for Latin and English Literature with others who are keen to improve their abilities or are starting from scratch.
While Latin, particularly, can be difficult and daunting, I hope to show that it can also be fun and exciting - like any other ancient language, it opens up a world to us that was entirely different and is now otherwise almost completely gone, what a miracle!

Typically an hour long, during a tutoring session we will be going through a translation or a text, depending on your immediate needs (exams, essay writing, university entrance exams..), and together develop a method that is most helpful to you. Usually, this would require going through a work in quite a lot of detail and then, starting from a single problem, expand on the larger context to understand where the issue stems from.
My lessons are generally intended for secondary school to university level students, or anyone outside of academic institutions who is interested in learning Latin!
