About Esme
I am a fully qualified social worker who is spending some time in South Africa and would love to carry out part-time tutoring lessons for young people. I believe current affairs, politics and sociology are such important and interesting subjects, but are often considered, or taught in a way that is boring and confusing. I want to provide a space for young people to learn about society in a way that is engaging and easy to access! I have a first-class degree in Politics, Sociology and East European Studies from UCL, a MSc in Relationship-Based Social Worker, with Lancaster University, as well as experience being a private tutor in 'Current Affairs'. I have previously worked as a tutor, teaching young people current affairs and politics. I work virtually and will often make a presentation for each lesson. I make sure the topics are engaging, fun and relevant to that young person and will always adapts to their needs and seek feedback. My lessons are for any child or young person above the age of 8-years old.
