About Askari
I'm a first year Kinesiology Student at the University of British Columbia. As a side career, I'm an Aquatic Fitness Instructor and a Group Fitness instructor at multiple cities including Richmond, Coquitlam, and Surrey, BC. I have had extensive training in the fitness field but also love to read, write and learn more about the English language. I've also been a teacher for a grade 6 class for 2 years and have learned what makes a good, approachable and effective teacher.

I like to keep my classes structured but largely flexible so that students don't feel too pressured when learning to improve their skills in the English language. A typical class could usually involve reading excerpts or articles or even just learning vocabulary and improving grammar. What makes me stand out is that I'm not too stern but know how to effectively teach the materials while being able to keep students engaged.
