About Alex
Hi, I'm Alex! I'm a proud Florida State University graduate with a Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership, a Master's Degree in Special Education, and nearly a decade of experience working with students across Central Florida. I grew up with a deep passion for education and have dedicated my career to helping young learners reach their full potential — both inside and outside the classroom.
Beyond teaching, I'm an active and outdoorsy person. You can usually find me out on the golf course, shooting hoops, heading to the beach, or finding some other way to stay active and enjoy the Florida sunshine. I think that same energy and enthusiasm carries into my tutoring sessions — I genuinely love working with kids and find creative, engaging ways to make learning fun and meaningful.
One thing that sets me apart is that I don't just tutor — I understand how schools work from the inside. Having served as part of a Principal's Leadership Team and led professional development for teachers, I know what schools expect from students and how to help families navigate the educational system with confidence.

I am a Florida-certified teacher with a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Reading Endorsement, bringing years of classroom and one-on-one tutoring experience to every session. My lessons are tailored to each student's unique needs — whether they are looking to get ahead, keep up, or catch up.
My approach is data-driven and student-centered. I begin by assessing where each learner is, identifying specific areas of difficulty, and building a personalized plan to move them forward. Sessions typically include targeted skill-building activities, guided practice, and ongoing progress monitoring so both students and families always know how things are going.
I welcome students of all abilities and backgrounds — from general education students wanting to strengthen their reading and writing skills, to those who learn differently and need a more individualized approach. My background in special education simply means I have an extra set of tools to reach learners that others might struggle to connect with. No matter the challenge, I meet every student where they are and help them build the confidence and skills to succeed.
