About Nia

I am an English tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in English Communication in Linguistics. My passion lies in helping students master pronunciation, intonation, and fluency. I use phonetic training to build a strong foundation, while combining real-life speech practice to make communication natural and effective. Over the years, I have worked with many non-native speakers who wanted to sound clear and confident in English. With tailored lessons, I focus on reducing hesitation and improving the rhythm of speech. My approach helps learners not only understand the sounds of English but also use them naturally in conversations. I make use of audio tools that allow students to hear and compare their speech with accurate models. Shadowing exercises are another key part of my lessons, where learners repeat and mimic native-like speech for fluency. I also design simple intonation maps that guide learners in expressing meaning through tone and stress. Every student receives structured feedback, but also encouragement to keep practicing without fear. My goal is to create a supportive environment where learners grow in confidence with every session. Speaking English should not only be correct, but also engaging and natural. With the right training, every learner can speak clearly, confidently, and with ease.

About the lesson

I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to help learners write and speak with confidence. Alongside this, I teach reading comprehension, paragraph planning, and techniques for academic writing, so students can express ideas in an organized way.

For learners aiming at exams, I create step-by-step lessons that combine practice with strategies for scoring well. I make sure they understand how to construct essays, reports, and arguments with clarity. Phonetics and pronunciation are also part of my lessons to strengthen communication skills.

I support learners who are reconnecting with the language as well as those pursuing advanced academic or linguistic goals. My lessons adapt to different needs, whether it’s mastering basic fluency, refining writing style, or preparing for professional and academic success. I encourage students to think critically and write creatively while staying focused on accuracy and structure.

Through practice, feedback, and motivation, I guide every learner to excel in their personal goals. My aim is to not only prepare them for exams but also give them lifelong skills in English.
