About Matthew
I'm a masters engineering student at Durham University, I was tutored myself and found it extremely helpful, without that extra individual help I don't know if I'd have been able to get the top grades which I have achieved. Knowing how to tutor one on one is a skill which I have developed over 6 years of tutoring and I am sure that I could improve the performance of any student who comes to me.

I tend to find a one to one and a half hour lesson is best, usually it will be structured such that during the first half we would go through whatever concept was being found difficult and then in the second half we would go through questions together to cement the understanding. I think students learn best from doing and have found my questions based method very effective with most students, increasing their grades significantly with my help.
