About Adia S
My relationships with my tutees mean the world to me; I know they are students but they are also people! I take the time to get to know a tutee so that I can best acclimate my teaching style & instruction style in a way that feels encouraging and authentic.
Working in the classroom was one of my most influential positions although I moved to different sectors of education. I am patient, determined and excited to celebrate wins and perseverance.
I have several years teaching experience in the classroom and did tutoring on the side. I’ve also been an instructor for the Princeton Review for the SAT & ACT.

Math is often taught technically and as “plug and chug” formulas. I believe in tying mathematic concepts to tangible and real life examples in order to further understanding. Repetition and Reinforcement with a focus on Growth AND Mastery.
