About Marcelina

Engineering design problems led me to mathematics after a career shift away from industry. I hold a BS Mathematics degree from Cornell University. Constant small checks replace final testing to ensure you maintain a focus on CONCEPTUAL LEARNING.

My past 10 years of practice with 400+ students show that independence is the only real metric of success. I am happy to chat if you want to talk shop.

About the lesson

Student autonomy is the quiet goal of these 60 minute meetings. Truthfully, the math is often easier than the anxiety surrounding it.

I build clear concept maps for every chapter to organize your thoughts before we solve problems. Geometry and trigonometry become logical puzzles rather than memory exercises. We apply these strategies to your homework and competition prep regularly. 9.0 is my preferred rating for the clarity and structure I provide in every single interaction.

You will leave with a map for the road ahead. Problems are just logic.
