About Merle

Despite getting a 2350 (~1580 equivalent) on the SAT, a 34 on the ACT, and almost all 5's on 16 AP courses, I really had a hard time adjusting to college level work and got bad grades for the first time ever. Once I developed techniques for mental calmness and focus and better time management skills, school became not so stressful. I can help you reframe how you think about learning.

Currently I am studying for the MCAT, so the process of explaining science concepts would be beneficial to my own review.

I can also help you strengthen your writing voice so you don't get accused of using AI tools.

About the lesson

We can work on homework assignments or lab calculations together

We can review the material covered on an upcoming quiz or test by working on practice problems

I believe there are many routes to understanding, and that learning is a continuous process that, for most people, is not straightforward and linear but more of a circular expanding of one's pool of knowledge

I've been ultimately successful in school and in my career despite my ADHD and test-taking anxiety; we can work on developing meditation and mindfulness techniques to prevent intense emotions and stress from disrupting your thinking.
