Hello, my dear learners! My name is Ayanda Sikobi, and I am a Foundation Phase teacher who truly loves helping young minds grow. I became a teacher because I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when given the right support, care, and encouragement. Teaching is not just my job—it’s my passion. I enjoy creating fun, interactive lessons that help you understand new things while also building your confidence. I’m especially passionate about teaching English and IsiZulu because I know the power of understanding and expressing yourself clearly. As a passionate and patient Foundation Phase teacher, my approach to private tutoring focuses on building strong foundational skills in a supportive and engaging environment. I design each lesson to suit the individual needs and learning styles of my students, using interactive methods such as storytelling, games, visual aids, and real-life examples to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. What makes my teaching unique is the way I connect with learners using both English and IsiZulu, helping them understand concepts in a language they are comfortable with. I am proficient in teaching in both languages and can seamlessly switch between the two to support comprehension and confidence. In a typical lesson, learners can expect clear explanations, guided practice, and lots of encouragement. I create a warm and safe space where learners feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. My lessons are best suited for Foundation Phase learners (Grade R to Grade 3), including those who are learning English or IsiZulu as a Home Language or First Additional Language. I also support learners who need extra help with grammar, reading, writing, or early numeracy. With me, every lesson is more than just learning—it’s a step toward believing in yourself.
