About Sara
Hello!
I am a college student at the University of Virginia. I am a writer and poet, and I am easily inspired by nature, art, and music. I also enjoy painting and drawing. On another note, I am also a very tactical individual and enjoy creating plans and strategies for tackling my goals. These two skills pair together well, and have propelled me to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology.
I value helping others in one-on-one settings such as tutoring, and it’s something that gives me a lot of joy!

My name is Sara, and I am a rising 4th-year student at the University of Virginia. I am double majoring in English and Psychology, and my current college GPA is 3.84.
I am part of UVA's prestigious Area Program in Poetry Writing, and I also have a classical training in English literature and writing analytical papers. I have received the Peter and Phyllis Pruden Scholarship from the UVA English department, which was awarded for my outstanding performance in English literature courses.
A typical lesson plan would first include a needs assessment where I speak with the student about their goals and go through their writing to identify gaps in skills. After identifying the student's gaps and needs, I would create a document outlining our goals and priorities with dates. Lastly, we would start working on the goals with focused assignments where I would provide feedback on their progress. This process may repeat as needed.
