I am 23 and got my Baccalauréat Littéraire (A level in litterary studies) a few years back. I gave French lessons in France for middle school and high school students.
The method is not strict, it's about to adjust to every student... Those who need to stick to formal French, and those who would rather use slang and actual French.
Films and books are a good way to improve. That is why I always suggest to pick up a movie and talk/write about it to make the classes less traditional.
I had 3 students and they all were French native speaker. 2 of them were in middle school and the last one in high school.
It was mostly anticipated classes for the exams they would have at the end of the year. What I gave them was a method to work on a text. How to understand it generally and not bothering the few words they don't now. Then how to organized its mind and write a dissertation...
Basically I give them the key to become autonomous
If you live too far from CBD I will charge more for the travel cost or ask for additional hour of class.
First class I give is 50% discount
First cancelled lessons has no repercussion but I will have to charge you if you let me down the day we are supposed to meet. :( At least 24 hours before the class would be appreciable to let me know if you cannot take the class
