About Bryony
Hi! I’m an enthusiastic and patient tutor with a genuine love of English language and literature. I enjoy helping people build confidence, whether that’s understanding a difficult text, improving essay structure or preparing for exams.
In my day-to-day work I’ve developed strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, and I’m used to explaining complex information in a clear and supportive way. I believe learning should feel approachable rather than intimidating, and I always encourage questions and curiosity.
Outside of tutoring, I’m an avid reader with a keen interest in storytelling, history and analysing texts. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace and developing skills they can use independently.

I believe the best way to learn English is through clear explanations, encouragement and adapting lessons to each student’s needs. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, improving essay writing or building confidence with reading and analysis, I aim to create a relaxed environment where no question feels too small.
Lessons are tailored to the individual and may include working through texts together, breaking down difficult concepts, planning essays, practising exam-style questions or reviewing homework. My focus is on helping students understand the reasoning behind answers rather than simply memorising them, so they can build confidence and apply their skills independently.
