About Kimiya
Hi there! I'm Kimiya and I'm a dental student at King's College London with a previous degree in Biomedical Science. I absolutely love dentistry as it requires continuous learning and is the perfect balance of science, art and communication, all of which I thoroughly enjoy. It provides me with an opportunity to practise my critical thinking, develops my character and enables me to utilise my creativity. Tutoring has been a very gratifying experience for me over the years, witnessing how my students' character, confidence and knowledge of the subject grows throughout our lessons reminds me of why I do this. Aside from tutoring chemistry and biology, I have helped many medical and dental students in their university applications, by reviewing their personal statements and conducting mock interviews and giving them interview tips and tricks. In my spare time, I have a passion for playing the violin and swimming and spending time with friends and family, as they help me relax.

Every student is different, therefore, I always cater my lessons completely around the needs of the student and plan my lessons around that. I have a professional yet friendly approach where the student can express their concerns and aims with me. From my own experience of both tutoring and being tutored at school and achieving top grades, I believe I am equipped with passing on the excellent formula for achieving top grades as well as improving confidence in the future generation. My strategy is simple yet proven to be effective in all my students throughout the years, I am a very hands-on tutor and always test my students with questions throughout their sessions including topics we have learnt previously to ensure they're keeping on top of their studies. I like to ensure the students participate in their lesson as well and regularly check if they have any questions as I know some students are shy to ask. Depending on your subject and exam board, I follow your specification and always end my lessons by going through exam questions as exam technique is half of your revision which is something that a lot of students forget- remember always revise smart
