About Jacqueline
I was a support worker for children with disabilities and learning disabilities. I have worked within an educational setting working with children aged 12-17 with challenging behaviours and with people from a diverse array of backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, ages and abilities. I have also assisted at degree level helping University students with their coursework and report writing (qualitative and quantitative research).
The skill to ignite a previously non-existent interest in a topic, naturally growing success, is a strong attribute of mine. Being Course Representative and a student mentor for Psychology at University shows my leadership drive. I thrive by nurturing others develop, in a similar fashion to how I was once helped to flourish by my own teachers and lecturers.
I am a very supportive individual who will tailor lessons towards you or your child's needs to enable them to reach their goals in a fun learning environment. I'm an enthusiastic and empathetic tutor with lots of creative ideas to try and make learning effective. My tutoring aim is to work with a student and collaborate to find a learning style that suits them best.
I am a visual learner myself and therefore encourage mind maps and flow charts with colours and images to commit concepts to memory. However, I am also aware of other learning styles and enjoy taking a multi-modal approach to my teaching/tutoring to ensure the learning is predominantly active and fun! I thoroughly believe in relational-enriched tutoring . I will always personally tailor my students sessions, use my knowledge and insight to direct my students sessions and make them interactive.
I aim to be starting my PGCE this year.

I am a friendly, very approachable, supportive individual who has a BSc (1st class) Hons and MSc (distinction in Psychology. I can teach from secondary school up to & including degree level for Psychology.
Lesson will last for 1 hour and consist of explaining and discussing the subject topic online, with power-points. Homework will be given to ensure an understanding of the topic area which will be marked on a weekly basis.

I do not travel. All teaching is done online as studying from the comfort of their own home puts students as they are in a familiar environment. Sessions are arranged in times to suit the student.
