About Samantha
I am a passionate, friendly, experienced, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) and registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
I am currently employed part-time as Health Visitor and have several years of experience working with new families from the antenatal period through to when children attend school. A large part of my role is working in partnership with parents to share the latest evidence based information to prepare them for parenthood.
I also participate in antenatal and postnatal education groups and mentor Nursing students. I feel passionate about my work and feel it is a privilege to be working in this role.
I consider myself an excellent communicator and sensitive to the needs of parents. My lessons can be adapted to your learning style, I can use props and send links to websites for you to consolidate your learning.
The first lesson will be free of charge . This will give us the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss a structure to the lessons.
I am available on week days and evenings. I am DBS checked.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am offering education to new parents online.
I cover subjects such as: preparation for parenthood and birth, understanding your new born, infant feeding, what to expect in the early weeks, practical skills - bathing your baby, nappy changing, safe sleeping, play, nurturing your relationship, bonding and attachment.
My lessons can be flexible to suit your needs and learning style. I can use props, email literature and we can discuss areas that particularly interest you.
After our sessions I can email information relevant to that lesson so you have a library of resources. I pride myself on sharing information that is current and evidence based.
