Hi, I’m Jess — a friendly, professional ESL tutor from South Africa. I help students build confidence and fluency through creative, supportive lessons.

I’m TESOL, TEYLT, and HSK 5 (汉语水平考试) certified, hold a BA in Linguistics and Modern Foreign Languages, and have over two years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels worldwide, with a strong focus on Mandarin-speaking learners. My goal is to help you experience English without limits!

Jessica creates a safe space where making mistakes is treated as a learning opportunity rather than a failure, she listens to understand what is not being said, such as anxieties about speaking, and adjusts her approach to build confidence. Her main focus is on fluency over accuracy, I hope I can improve my English with her help.

Jessica helped me to find ways that work for my brain - giving me the broader concept in order to understand the smaller units I was meant to learn.
