About Sophie
Student at East 15 Acting school. Friendly and casual I try to help with confidence as well as grades so that my pupils can tackle exam nerves and know that all their hard work will pay off. My strong suit is English, I enjoy both literature and language and have had the most success teaching this to GCSE level. I am thorough in my lessons making sure that while I am there to help, the pupils are the ones learning and making the real effort. I'm also not afraid to make the lessons less boring and use more interactive methods, such as making a game of it, drawing out what the author is writing about or playwright is depicting etc. As well as with poetry I sometimes encourage a bit of a performance view of it- because for me a lot of spoken word poetry makes the most sense, when it's spoken aloud.

Sophie was my tutor whilst I was sitting my A levels. Due to admission requirements for University it was essential that I improved my English grammar skills. Sophie was amazing, she both significantly boosted my fluency when writing in the English language and thanks to her friendly attitude made me more confident when completing assignments.
