About Ross
Mr name is Ross Coombes. I have spent all my working life as a teacher: primary, secondary and tertiary in NSW and QLD. At Universities I taught pre service English teachers as well as actors, directing ang being an actor in many plays.
My qualifications include a PhD in Literature and Literacy, MA in Theatre Studies, a CELTA qual. In ESL teaching. Also Diplomas in Speech and Drama.
During my career I have tried to increase my knowledge and ability in teaching . I always am keen to help students to develop their particular needs. I have been helped along the way by my adult children and grandchildren.

After getting to know students and discussing what they would like to be helped with, I prepare a set of lessons to satisfy their needs . At all times I want to build up confidence and improvement. I make up materials and strategies as well as using texts and other materials. I take care to revise and adjust to a comfortable pace for each student.
