About Lauren
I am a third year college student going for my degree in Elementary Education and minoring in Language Arts and Mathematics. I have tutored for the past five years for Elementary-College aged students. One of my most recent students was a student from Korea that knew only a few words of English. After spending a couple months with him, he was able to test at understanding and speaking basic English.

I prefer to let students work through the problem on their own and to be a guide to solving problems. I like to model an example problem, while answering any questions for clarification as well. Then I would let them start working and practicing on their own while providing hints and steering the conversation towards the answer rather than just saying this is how you do it, now repeat.
