About Maria
I am currently student at East Carolina University, I am in my senior year. My field of education is B.S in Mathematics and B.S in Math Education. When I was a student at Wayne Community College, I was a Math Tutor and Spanish Tutor for 3 years. During that time, I offered one-on-one lessons and group lessons. I helped them to study for their test, homework, or whatever they needed. Sometimes they felt very insecure about the course they were taking, but once they come to me they started to feel more confident and they were successful.

I am a math student who wants to be a high school math teacher. I gave tutoring lessons to college and high school students. First, I like to get know my students on how they feel about the course, then I decide which is the best method to use with him or her. If I notice that the method is not working properly I like to use different strategies in a way that satisfy the student and making sure they are getting the concept. I always like to go step by step to make it easier for the students . I like when the students ask questions when they feel it is necessary.
