About Emma
I am a local author and a future primary school teacher who has a deep love for writing and reading. My favorite genre to read and write is fantasy! I love helping students enjoy writing and reading and build their confidence through my passion and friendly, gentle, and patient approach. On weekends, I love exploring farmers markets, trying coffee shops, and snuggling up with a good book!

My lessons begin by recapping the previous lesson and then exploring what the student already knows about the new topic.
For writing, we will then go through some examples together.
For reading comprehension, we will read the new text together, usually a couple of times.
Next, there will be a task that we will go through together, and I will allow the student to try independently.
I am a future student teacher who has over a year of experience tutoring writing and reading comprehension to primary-aged children, including active learners who need extra support.
My lessons are tailored, and I can teach primary-aged students (year 1-8) of any reading and writing ability.
