About Samuel

My name is Samuel D'Souza, a science enthusiast who achieved grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE Triple Science, before going on to achieve an A in both Biology and Chemistry at A-Level. I know exactly what it takes to hit the top grades — and more importantly, I know how to help you get there too.
I'm currently on a gap year before beginning a degree in Adult Nursing, which means I'm fully available and completely focused on my students right now. My passion for science isn't just academic — it's something I genuinely love, and that enthusiasm comes through in every lesson.
With hands-on tutoring experience working with GCSE students one-to-one, as well as 6 months working as a tutor at Explore Learning, I bring both the knowledge and the real teaching experience to make a difference. I don't just explain things — I make sure you actually understand them, feel confident, and walk into your exam ready to perform.
Whether you're chasing that grade 9 or just want to stop feeling lost in class, I'm here to make it happen.

About My Lessons

I make biology and chemistry genuinely enjoyable — my lessons are interactive, engaging, and never boring. I cut straight to the point so we don't waste any time, focusing on exactly what you need to know with plenty of practice to make sure it actually sticks. No unnecessary filler, just efficient, effective learning.
My approach combines clear explanations with exam-focused practice, so students not only understand the content but know exactly how to perform under pressure on the day.

Who the Lessons Are For

My lessons are aimed at Year 10 and Year 11 students studying GCSE Biology and Chemistry. Whether you're in Year 11 and want to boost your grade before exams, or in Year 10 and want to get ahead of the curve, I can help.

Lesson Length

Lessons are flexible and tailored to the student — typically ranging from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on what works best for you.

My Qualifications & Experience

I achieved grade 9s in both Biology and Chemistry at GCSE Triple Science, and went on to achieve an A in both at A-Level — so I know these subjects inside out at every level. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE Biology and Chemistry students, and also worked at Explore Learning for 6 months as a tutor, giving me hands-on experience supporting young learners in a structured environment.
