About Jessica
I currently teach adults and teenagers face to face at a higher education college. I support students to pass ESB and Acentis ESOL Reading, Speaking and Listening and Writing exams. Using SuperProf I have supported groups of students to progress from CEFR A2 to CEFR C1. I have tutored secondary school students in GCSE English Language and Literature (studying texts such as Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls and poetry). I have taught English to Spanish children at a charity-run school in Nicaragua, to German businessmen and businesswomen outside of Munich, to two children in Spain, and to adults and teenagers from several different countries such as Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy, Japan and Russia. I coach students in the IELTS exam and UKVI test for visa purposes. I can also coach students in other English Examinations i.e. CAE Cambridge Advanced Certificate, CERT International ESOL etc. I can support students to prepare for interviews in English. I hold a BA first class honours degree in English. I am CELTA qualified (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults - Level 5). I hold a CET (Certificate in Education - Level 4). I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (Level 7 - Distinction).

I teach lessons using the online platform Zoom. I teach using audio and visual clips and share my screen so you can see the PowerPoint slides. I use the interactive whiteboard and Zoom chat so that we can both write to each other on the screen. I use a communicative approach to maximise your practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing. I teach grammar in an interesting way using real-life situations and I will help you build your vocabulary. I use role plays to help your confidence increase and will help you stay motivated and committed to improving your English. I can help you achieve your goals. I can also support you to pass IELTS. I have tutored secondary school students in GCSE English Language and Literature (studying texts such as Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls and poetry). My Ukrainian student from SuperProf this year achieved a 5 in both GCSE English Literature and Language. I have taught English to Spanish children at a charity-run school in Nicaragua, to German businessmen and businesswomen outside of Munich, to two children in Spain, and to adults and teenagers from several different countries such as Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy, Japan and Russia.
