About James
I’m a Geography graduate from UCL with a strong academic background in both human and physical geography. I currently work as a civil servant in climate and environment, which allows me to bring real-world environmental examples into Geography tutoring in a clear and accessible way. I chose to study Geography because I believe it provides the key to understanding and addressing some of the world’s biggest challenges. From climate change and oceans to human development and migration, the patterns and flows that make up Geography are all interconnected. I aim to help students see Geography not just as a subject to get through at school, but as a way of thinking that explains the world around them.

I specialise in KS3, and GCSE Geography, helping students build confidence with key topics such as physical climate change, ecosystems, and urban environments. I place a strong emphasis on developing understanding alongside exam skills. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are aiming to improve grades, strengthen subject knowledge, or prepare for exams. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. I offer online and in-person Geography tutoring and am available in the evenings and at weekends.
