About Gavin

Outside of study, I’m a very sporty and motivated person, and I bring that same energy and consistency into tutoring. I’m a driven and diligent Medical Student with a strong academic record throughout school and college.

My teaching style is friendly, and easy to talk to, enabling students to feel comfortable sharing any concerns or confusion about work. I keep lessons structured and clear, breaking topics down step-by-step and focusing on steady improvement and confidence.

About the lesson

In my approach to teaching Geography, I focus on clear explanations, strong visual diagram learning, and exam-focused preparation.

I use simple, well-labelled diagrams and step-by-step explanations to help students fully understand key processes and case studies. I also provide high-quality, H1-standard essays that students can learn from and use as models for structuring their own answers, including importance of exam time pressure and the marking scheme.

Lessons are 60 minutes (can be longer if requested) and I prepare them to the student’s level and pace. I have a strong academic background and experience supporting students through both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Geography.

Lessons are suitable for secondary school students of all abilities, and I always encourage questions, ensuring students feel comfortable raising any concerns or difficulties they encounter.
