About Oluwapelumi

I am a geospatial analyst with proven experience working with the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) and the Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), two key strategic research and space-related institutions in Nigeria. In these roles, I consulted and taught as a GIS data analyst, supporting teams through hands-on geospatial analysis, spatial data interpretation, and the development of decision-focused reports. My work involved performing diverse GIS and remote sensing analyses, translating complex spatial datasets into clear insights, and producing technical reports to ensure projects were properly planned, monitored, and successfully executed. I have consistently contributed to strengthening data-driven decision-making across ongoing research and development projects. I am a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, with strong experience and a sustained interest in geospatial analysis, GIS data analytics, and spatial visualization for research, policy, and development applications.

About the lesson

I deliver practical, results-driven GIS and geospatial analysis lessons focused on turning spatial data into clear insights and informed decisions.

Lessons are hands-on and built around ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ENVI, and ERDAS Imagine, where learners work with real datasets to understand data structure, projections, raster and vector analysis, and spatial modeling. Remote sensing workflows include image preprocessing, classification, indices, and change detection.

Strong emphasis is placed on visualization and analytics tools through professional map design, dashboards, charts, and spatial reporting to help learners interpret results and communicate insights effectively. Beyond software use, I teach how to analyze, explain, and report geospatial findings in a decision-focused manner.

The goal is to build technical confidence, analytical thinking, and the ability to transform geospatial data into actionable intelligence.
