About Emma
Hi! I'm Emma, I am a passionate psychology graduate originally from the UK, dedicated to making your academic journey smoother and stress-free. I decided to become a tutor because during my degree, I discovered I had a real knack for breaking down overwhelming, dense, and hard-to-grasp content into simple, easily accessible learning units. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I love sharing this skill with university students and learners of all levels to help you navigate tough material without the anxiety. I’m a high-achieving student with a 6.5 GPA, a Dean’s Commendation, and membership in QUT’s College of Excellence, but what matters most to me is making psychology feel less intimidating and more achievable.
I’m friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, and I know firsthand how overwhelming psychology content and statistics can feel at times. I really enjoy breaking down complex ideas into clear, practical explanations and helping students have those “ohhh, that actually makes sense now” moments.
I aim to create a relaxed, supportive learning space where you can ask questions freely, build confidence, and develop a strong understanding - not just learn what to memorise for assessments, but why things work the way they do.
Outside of tutoring, you can usually find me baking and cooking up new recipes, or outdoors running and hiking.

My lessons are student‑centred, supportive, and tailored to your needs. Each session is designed around your unit content, assessment criteria, and learning style, whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, build confidence, or clarify tricky concepts.
I focus on:
• Breaking down complex psychology concepts into clear, understandable explanations
• Making statistics approachable, step‑by‑step and stress‑free
• Linking theory directly to assignments and exams
• Encouraging questions in a non‑judgemental, relaxed environment
Lessons can cover content revision, statistics (including SPSS/JASP), assignment planning and structure, or exam preparation, and I adjust the pace to suit you. My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you feel confident and capable in psychology.
