About Caroline
I have spent the past 2 years working as a tutor at the Colorado College Writing Center, and the Chicago Waldorf High School. To gain employment at the CC Writing Center, I went through an intensive interview and training process involving multiple professor recommendations and a 6-month class combined with a hands-on practical. During this time, I studied writing center theory and shadowed accomplished tutors in their work. Throughout this training and my two years of experience, I have tutored clients in everything from lab reports to thesis projects, grant proposals, and German language work. During the pandemic, I also spent some time working at the Chicago Waldorf High School as a tutor for students struggling with writing. These experiences have shaped me into a competent tutor ready to effectively work with high school and college students on any writing pursuit, or German language work.

My name is Caroline Livaditis, and I just graduated Colorado College (CC) with a B.A. in German studies. Over the past 2 years, I’ve worked as a German and writing tutor at the Colorado College Writing Center and the Chicago Waldorf High School. I love working with college and high school students on academic essays, thesis projects, grant proposals, empirical lab reports, German language work, and so much more. My time working at the CC Writing Center in particular has allowed me to become a versatile tutor prepared for any challenge a client may be facing.
My teaching approach is relaxed and focused on your goals. At the beginning of the lesson we will make a plan based on your goals for the day and tackle them together. I am here to help YOU- not to ask you to conform to my teaching methodology. For German language tutoring, we keep things engaging and fun by using media such as books, tv shows, news articles, and simple conversation to practice our language skills in a way that will allow you to speak with others- not just memorize vocabulary.
