About Gerrit

My interests are Music for sure. I have a huge interest in Business, entrepreneurship, and economics. I like to write songs about deep and touchy subjects. I played Classical guitar in school, was mentored by well-known South African guitarist Nathan Smith, and I completed my Music Diploma at COPA and graduated with 360 credits end of 2019. My favorite styles to teach are Folk, Rock, Blues, Pop, and Christian Music.

About the lesson

My method of teaching creates room for the student to establish their own musical identity. Parrot learning other people's songs does not make you unique. Everyone can cram an exam but not everyone has a signature sound. I teach guitar and music theory and will also teach you the business side of a musician. I teach in both English and Afrikaans. Unlock your full potential. "The wealthiest place in the world is not the gold mines of South America or the oil fields of Iraq or Iran. They are not the diamond mines of South Africa or the banks of the world. The wealthiest place on the planet is just down the road. It is the cemetery. There lie buried companies that were never started, inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were never written, and masterpieces that were never painted. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential.” Dr. Myles Munroe.
