About LAJOS

My name is Lajos, but English speakers call me Lal or Lolly. So you can call me that too.

I am working as a chef for over 15 years. For the last 6 of those, I am Head Chef at a busy Sea-side restaurant.

I am proud about what our kitchen achieved under my supervision.
constant 5 star food Hygiene rating, home cooked food, enviable working conditions. I'd like to think I contributed a lot to reach this level.

I am originally Hungarian. (We can get a few recipes from that side of the world if you fancy it.) My mother was Head Chef of a busy kitchen for 25 years before she retired. She taught me the first tricks to make cooking more practical.

I worked in busy restaurants, learned a lot about and British cuisine. I also believe that if there is a good recipe, than all it takes it's quality ingredients and practiced hands to produce something delicious.

I am also, tutoring foreign adults to speak English since catering was closed for long months in 2020.

About the lesson

I can teach you the basics of cooking and baking. We will follow traditional recipes, and learn the practicality of executing them.

Your family will be amazed every time you prepare something delicious and eye catching for them.

By the end of a 30 lesson course you will be able to decide what to prepare for every day of the week, make a detailed shopping list to get the ingredients, and prepare a different 3 course meal for every day of the week.

We will practice different methods of food preparations, learning basic knife skills, learning how to keep our loved ones safe from harm can come from food.
