About Amila
To be clear, I am not a native English speaker. However, I started speaking English when I was two years old, through cartoons and TV programs. By the time I started school, I was already advanced in English and started thinking in “it,” rather than my mother tongue. Being driven by the beauty of this language, poetry was like a light at the end of a tunnel. It was love at first sight and a hobby of mine since I learned how to write. By the time I turned seventeen, I had already been in three “Collection of High School Papers” and my art was seen by the whole city. I truly believe everyone can write poetry, the only difficult part is to actually open up and feel the words as you’re putting them on paper. That’s what I’m here for and I can assure you I am going to do an excellent job. :)
