About Elizabeth

In my undergrad experience, I found a lot of success by studying in a group and working with a personal tutor. This knowledge-sharing allowed me to ask questions in a safe space with like-minded people. I would like to share this experience with other students who are also looking to learn about Geography

About the lesson

Hey there! I'm Elizabeth, a recent graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I've always been captivated by the incredible power of geographic data in unraveling real-life mysteries and phenomena. Whether it's mapping out urban sprawl, tracking climate changes, or understanding human behavior through spatial patterns, GIS is an amazing tool we can use to explore the world.

I'm on a mission to share my knowledge and passion for this exciting field with others. If you're as curious as I am about the world of GIS and how it can be harnessed to make sense of our surroundings, then I'm here to help you on that journey. Let's dive into the fascinating world of geographic data together and unlock the secrets it holds!

Elizabeth is such a kind and down to earth person always willing to help at the drop of a hat. Having been taught by her and originally coming from a marketing background, I was nervous to join this field but she is genuinely so wonderful! She is always so open and transparent with her knowledge, even in subject areas that she wasn't as familiar with, she was comfortable enough to acknowledge her gaps and was so eager to help me find resources to get what I needed. I think the role of a tutor is to be compassionate, dedicated, someone who is deeply immersed in their craft and someone people can truly rely on for guidance. After working with her I really feel Elizabeth is all these things with one hand tied behind her back! She’s so passionate, organised, eloquent and confident in her skill. I feel like I’ve gained a friend in her in addition to a mentor, role model and lifelong teacher. Good bless you Elizabeth and thank you!!!!
