About Damilola

Hello! My name is Dami and I am excited about the opportunity to work as a tutor. Growing up, I was always really good at math. I represented my high school in both Olympiad and American Mathematics competition. I also attended various math and physics bootcamps. I have a strong passion for helping my peers in understanding math and physics as it came really easy to me. My area of expertise are math and physics during which I have developed effective teaching strategies to engage students and foster their academic growth. I believe in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment to encourage student participation and confidence. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have a bachelor's degree with distinction in Chemical Engineering. A typical day in my life always involves teaching people either at the academy or among my peers.
I look forward to the chance to help excel in your academic journey.

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are from topics to topics. I know math can be complicated sometimes, so I try to ensure we solve almost every possible example per topic. We would also practice for examinations with time frame. We would work through your worksheets topic by topic and ensure you can answer every question on it with little or no supervision. As a young tutor, I ensure my students are as comfortable as possible and we can gist as friends.

Perfect! I love Dami- she is a very good tutor, she explains step by steps and allows you to seek help when you need it but also advocates for independence. You go through teachers notes to make sure you understand the concept through your teachers eyes and hers. She is very nice and has helped me a lot. I recommend her to anyone who struggles because she will help you succeed. She has helped me and my sister improve our grade also find the confidence and motivation to get better at math.
