About Nick

I am a performing bassist located in Brooklyn, NY with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance from the Berklee College of Music and a Master's Degree in Jazz Performance from New England Conservatory. Along with teaching bass as an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University, I co-lead and compose for my jazz trio, Bean Supper, and work regularly recording, touring, and performing with various ensembles.

Teaching is one of my greatest joys and passions. I have taught private lessons and ensembles at a variety of music schools to students of all ages and skill levels. If you study with me you can be sure that you’ll become a better musician through personalized lessons in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment.

About the lesson

As a professional jazz bassist and graduate of Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory with over 8 years of experience teaching private lessons and ensembles, I am confident that taking lessons with me will get your bass playing to the next level! Whether you're looking to pick up a new hobby, prepare for an audition, or simply improve your playing, I will work with you to build customized lesson plans that focus on exactly what you want to learn.

Typical lessons might include:
- Technique improvement
- Music theory
- Learning/improving music reading skills
- Composition
- Improvisation
- Learning songs/repertoire

I look forward to helping you along on your bass-playing journey!
