Mathematics and Statistics must be approached from logic and not from memory. I do not think that the mere repetition of formulas and procedures is the right way. Throughout my teaching career I always approached each topic from its logic and the results were satisfactory. The subject was interesting even to students who started the course thinking it was ugly and boring.
